Varahi Dev Puja Details:
Varahi Devi is potrayed with the head of a Boar and she has a human body. She is the wife of  Lord Varah(the third avatar of Lord Vishnu). Varahi Devi Puja and Homa(Yagnam) or Varahi puja is mainly performed at night. Many people like to perform Varahi Ammavari Puja at home also.There is a belief that Varahi Devi, apart from her form and looks, is kind and sympathetic and answers the prayers of her devotees immediately. Goddess Varahi is the wife of Lord Varaha swamy, the third avatar of Lord Vishnu. Varahi Devi is a embodiment of powerful Shakti and one of the eight Mathas (Mother Goddesses) who killed evil persons. She is also known as  Varahi Ammavaru in South India. Goddess Varahi took birth from the body of Lord Varaha, She bears a face of a boar and is often represneted with eight arms holding Sankhuu, Chakram, Gada, Khadgam, Musalam, Dhamarukam, Abhayavaradam and Ulakkai. Goddess Varahi is considered as the perfect powerhouse of Gnanam (Knowledge) and powerful protector of her devotees. 

She is also potrayed as riding on a Buffalo and holding a staff in her hand. Varahi Devi is a main force in Tantric Sadhana.
